From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., enjoy family-friendly programming at Fort William Historical Park—including live music, dancing, and cultural activities that celebrate Canada’s diversity.

TBME 5K Trail Run

Runners can lace up for the Canada Day 5K Trail Run at Trowbridge Falls starting at 10:15 a.m. Pre-registration is required.

Museum Fun for Families

The Thunder Bay Museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a brand-new exhibit marking the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Kids can also join a Canada Day colouring contest!

Afternoon Events & Live Entertainment

  • Watch the Thunder Bay Border Cats play at Port Arthur Stadium at 1:35 p.m.

  • Tour the historic St. Lawrence II Tall Ship at Marina Park from 3 to 6 p.m.

  • Catch live music, food, crafts and games during Canada Day on the Waterfront from 3 to 9 p.m.

Evening Celebrations & Nightlife

  • Karaoke at The Foundry begins at 8:30 p.m.

  • A lively car show takes place at Murillo Fairgrounds from 3 to 7 p.m.

  • Royalton Hotel will host a BBQ and prize draws starting at 4 p.m.

  • For music lovers, Black Pirates Pub hosts an all-ages concert from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

  • Night owls can enjoy trivia and dancing at The Hodder, with doors open until 2 a.m.
