I had a drive up room and a vehicle was parked right in front of my door the whole time didn't move, really annoying. There were plenty of spots going either way. Need a sign saying room parking only. Also shower curtain was too short so water from the shower hit the floor.

I paid for our reservation when I booked the hotel. I have a pending charge on my charge card for $244. The last couple of days I had two charges for 244. I hope this second one gets removed.

Elderly man with glasses and young man working with him were very kind, patient, and accommodating.. Front desk was busy and they got to my need asap.

We enjoyed our stay. My husband had surgery. Everything went great. It would be a suggestion for a hospital appointment rate. I choice the Valhalla because the cost was less than the hotels closer to hospital. We were there July2 & paid $209.98 for 1 night stay. Then we were there again on July 9 for 1night for his other surgery & the cost was $336.97!! That’s quite a price jump of $126.99 within a week. We’re both retired and our travel grant only allows $175.00. Per night. Not to mention the price of cash from Dryden. I would suggest maybe a senior rate. Our meal at the restaurant was excellent. There was no armchair in the room even though there was plenty of room. One desk chair for 2 people is not adequate.

The hotel was well situated and close to everything. Restaurant had great food both nights we ate there. Would definitely stay there again.

Been going to the Valhalla for 40 years. It’s still a nice place and well worth the money. The bar is great, but I was very disappointed with the dining room. The food tasted mostly prepackaged and every day they ran out of menu items by early evening. One night we were limited to one of the four entree selections. Rooms were nice and clean, clean staff was great! The area has become a bit transient with frequent police calls to the outside property for intoxication, fighting, etc. Overall, it is still a decent choice.

Hotel was clean, bar is great! Dining needs some work. The food was ok, but way below previous dining experiences I’ve had there over the past 5 years.

2 light bulbs were burned out in my room and there was no body lotion which I complained about in the past and the response I received was less than adequate. I also requested my invoice via email which has not arrived over a day later. Staying at this hotel is more of an inconvenience than anything else.

Good: Large rooms. Comfortable beds and very clean. Ample parking. Has a sauna and pool but no hot tub. Bad: The restaurant menu was Norse themed and as a person with health issues, was unable to eat any menu items. There was no hot tub.

Hotel had good amenities and was clean - can't give proper rating as we were just there for a layover - were unable to use pool, eat at restaurant, etc. But it all looked very good.

We were only there one night. We didn't have time to use the amenities, such as the pool. The hotel was great, but quite surprised, for the cost, that a continental breakfast wasn't included. Most hotels, even at lower costs have this offered. Other than that, no complaints.

The young gentlemen’s who were cleaning the rooms on floor 2, were fantastic, friendly, and had an awesome since of humour. They were cleaning the rooms closest to the evelator. Thanks boys you were all great.

The stay was good; the check-in was okay. However, there were no directions on where amenities were located. They did not explain the pending charges applied to my card on file. It looked as if I was charged twice. The signage in the hotel is a little confusing regarding elevators. I noticed a sign at the front desk explaining that elevator 3 was out of order and only elevators 1 & 2 were available for use. Signage in the hotel advised that elevator 1 went left and elevator 2 was down past the pool. I followed the signs for elevator 2, and when I got to what I thought was elevator 2, it was out of order. I had to walk all the way back to the lobby and followed signage for elevator 1, where there are 2 elevators marked #1 & #2. I was a little disappointed there was no welcome package in the rooms to see what Thunder Bay has to offer and what or where amenities are located.

The only thing lacking was the housekeeping service. We stayed 6 days. Our room was not cleaned until the 3rd day and only after my husband complained.

We are rating this hotel for what it is and what we paid. This is an older property. Sits in an older parking lot near to the airport. But the rooms have been renovated and we’re very nice and totally clean and modern. There is an indoor pool and an attached restaurant. We did not use the pool. It was pretty busy and we didn’t want to contend with the kids. But this is a great option for a family. We were two couples traveling by motorcycle. The attached restaurant and bar was a good option for food. No need to leave the hotel to eat. We were very happy with the rooms. Super clean. Everything worked. The hotel itself is showing its age. But they have done a great job to make it comfortable. The property is old

Poor selection at breakfast, a mediocre buffet or nothing. There were 3 of us in the room and everyday we asked for 3 sets of towels . Sometimes we got 2 facecloths, sometimes none. I called housekeeping and requested facecloths and left a message but did not receive any. The layout is poor with the elevator at 1 extreme end, a long way from some of the rooms

Very professional staff. Room was clean. For its age, the property is well-kept and everything is in very good to excellent condition. I frequent staying at the Valhalla when I visit Thunder Bay.

Overall it was a lovely stay The staff at the front desk were very helpful The shuttle was very much appreciated and frequent and with very friendly drivers There was a heavy scent of cannabis on both Sunday and Monday evenings - it seemed to come from the air conditioning so pulling in from outdoors perhaps - Rm. 302 There were children roaming the halls on Sunday evening which made it uncomfortable and at times created noise after 10 pm There were insufficient hangars -4 are not enough for a double queen room There was a large area at the end of a room that typically accommodates a table and additional chairs - or an occasional al chair - there wasn’t enough seating in the room There was a VERY long wait for food on Wednesday evening - like more than 1.5 hrs The food was delicious when received Typically for the rate charged for the premium stay, complimentary bottled water would have been appropriate on arrival Thank you for requesting feedback It was a great stay in Thunder Bay

I did not like the steps to get to the bathroom in the night! I should have been warned about that.
