The guest room was pleasant and well-maintained. However, I was disappointed to discover after my stay that the hotel offers an $11 food and beverage credit per room, which was not communicated to us during the check-in process. The front desk staff were adequate, and the parking facilities were satisfactory. Overall, the experience was standard and did not particularly stand out.

Valhalla staff were all very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and attractive. Restaurant was lovely. Shuttle staff awesome. Conference staff friendly as well.

This hotel in Thunder Bay was fantastic. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful with suggestions for food. The location was great as we were easily able to get back onto the trans Canada highway 1. Parking was free and had ample spaces. Shopping was located close by. Our room was spacious, updated and very comfortable and clean. We would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Everyone from the front desk, the restaurant, were very helpful and very pleasant! I had an amazing supper, the burger is extraordinary and so was the apple pie and homemade ice cream. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows and very quiet. I was super happy because I had to be up at 4:00 a.m. and I slept solidly. I would definitely stay in this hotel again

Had requested a room facing east as i have done in the past to lessen the airport noise unfortunetly this was the room i was given and after driving 9 hrs thst day i was too tired to request another and move my belongings once agsin.... I have not jad this issue in the past several times i have stayed there. Room waa very nicely decored and updated was nice. Bed comfortable very clean room

I had stayed at the valhalla several times iver the years. It was nice to see some updatimg done in the rooms they look great. I had asked the ckerk at checkin if i could have a room facing the east sude so thst the airport noise was lessened as i have done innthe past. Unfortunetly when i got to our room it was facing the airport and i fou d it very loud. We had driven from winnipeg to thunder bay thst day and i was too tired to go back to the desk and ask agsin for a different facing room. We did have a good rest but only once the planes had stipped foe the night at the airoort.

Room was updated from the last time i was there. This would ne my 4th time stsying st the valhalla. Good rates compared to other hotels. Rooms clean spacious.. Only a little noisy with the airport close by. I had asked for a room on the front facing side to lessen the noise but was given a room directly facing the airport. After 11pm less flights made it quieter... Overall recommend would stay again. Parking free lots of room.. Thank you

What a great hotel. Our room was exceptional and very clean. We loved the shower. It was easy to get around to the many sites in the area. We would definitely recommend booking with you again.

We stayed for 4 nights & requested 2 glasses & 2 coffee mugs on two occasions but never received them. I realize there are probably economic reasons for the plastic glasses & paper cups but they do not really enhance an experience of drinking a hot cup of coffee in the morning for example. Plus those plastic glasses, the plastic wrap around the glasses & paper cups & the plastic coffee cup lids are all really bad for the environment in volume.

Place is clean, huge parking lot, restaurant in the hall. When we stopped they had a maintenance of the far elevator so my trip with the luggage was quite long.

Good: The room was clean but the hallways are not so clean Bad: Because I order through Booking .com they always put me in a room that is in the farthest wing of the hotel. I am a senior lady and really don't appreciate that.

Room was great except only one desk chair. Empty corner should have one comfortable chair. The biggest issues were confusion when arriving with construction at entrance and no signage where to park and I had to ask after checking in. Also we were directed to go down the left hallway. Our room was 347. Should have been told to park at very back corner and go in that entrance. Instead we carried our luggage from front side entrance all the way to back not knowing where the room was. Other things were how far you had to walk for ice and no access to courtyard as doors were locked at that end.

Rolling up to the hotel, parking was convenient and ample. Front desk staff was ok, neither friendly or unfriendly. There was only 1 elevator working, but there were plenty of luggage carts, which made the long walk to our room easy. This place is huge. Our room was perfect. It was clean, modern, well equipped and had a comfy bed. The only drawback was the carpet in the hallways to get to your room. It had an old musty odour to it. Our room was all laminate flooring, which was great. Checkout was easy, with front desk staff that appeared emotionless. Overall a great stay.

Parking was blocked off due to anticipating parking lot sweeping a week away. This was very inconvenient. Otherwise, great place to stay!

The only disappointment I experienced was at check out. I wanted to grab a coffee while I waited for the shuttle to lear at 6:30am. The coffee was not available, the shuttle driver was kind and cleaned it out for me. However it then cost $3 for the coffee. After staying all week I believe the coffee should of been complimentary especially since breakfast is not.

Problems with payment system at check in and check out. Staff could not easily fix the issue. Check in took a long time.

It’s was really a nice stay at Valhalla. I will highly recommend to anyone who comes to Thunder Bay. Great staff and specially Jaimini, Terrick and Dave. The room was clean and there was plenty of parking. Just a short drive into Thunder Bay. Despite being close to the airport, I found the hotel quiet.

Looking a bit beat up again, Needs a good spring cleaning inside and out. Great location to airport and great parking. Staff are great especially morning shuttle driver!

I wish your restaurant had more offerings. Even just a regular burger. The one you have has too many items on it. I just want a plain cheeseburger. Also, there isn't enough lighting in the rooms. They tend to be rather dark. Your staff are great! And I know that I can rely on your airport shuttle service with friendly service and I stay at your hotel mainly for this

We appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the clean rooms, and especially the access to the airport with a shuttle and long term parking. As long as the free long term parking remains and option we will keep coming back!
