Good: We loved the reception/check-in desk staff. "Praise" was especially friendly and welcoming. We loved the space in the room for 3 adults and the bathroom amenities. Everything was comfortable and clean. Bad: For this price a continental breakfast would have made this a great value.

Good: Among the best in Thunder Bay. Nice location, friendly staff, spacious rooms, ample parking space. Bad: Breakfast could have been included.

These guys are truly amazing. They went out of their way to help us in an emergancy. I will forever be greatful

Good: Location, cleanliness, pet-friendly Bad: At check-in the staff member was a bit rude. I provided my driver’s licence for identification and the staff member questioned whether or not the picture was of me. This was very strange. The staff member was immediately corrected by his supervisor and my ID was handed back to me while the supervisor continued with the check-in process. Grateful for a supervisor who stepped in, but the initial staff member’s manner was off-putting.

Vast improvement! The room was lovely- newly redecorated with clever features including a kitchenette. I will happily stay again. A small complaint is that the lighting and outlets near the bed were not working. Also- it would sure be nice to see the courtyard mowed and tidied up; it’s actually a nicely landscaped area but needs maintenance!

Good: Good location Bad: Very hard to get linens and amenities like conditioner & soap . Had to call 4 times to get facecloths and towels upon checking. This should have been in the room to start. Also soap, and conditioner empty in the shower ( they were in dispensers bolted to shower wall). I feel they should be checked by cleaning staff. When calling guest services, no one responded numerous times & also had trouble getting linens brought up to the room. The cleaning staff should have had this done when last guests checked out.

The property's prime is clearly behind it, but the management's effort to preserve its Nordic charm is commendable. A buffet-style breakfast would be preferable—and might also spare guests encounters with staff whose best days seem similarly distant.

Good: Though the price was high compared to other places, the room came with refrigerator and a small freezer. The TV is larger than other places. There is a two burner stove. There is a sitting cushioned bench. Wifi is very fast. There is a 5 foot work table with two chairs in the kitchen area. I was staying for 4-6 days so they provided me with toaster, pots and pans, a strainer, forks/knives/spoons/spatula/serving spoon/bowls/dishes, salt/pepper. There is a dish washer and they provided me with 3 dishwahers pods. There is a temp controller that actually works and can go up down by 0.5 deg. I kept the temp at 22.5-23 deg during day (I'm old and a little cold sometimes) and put it down to a comfortable 19.5 deg during sleep hours. Travelled with my medium size dog and the is grass around 3/4 of the property - about 300 meters of walking distance around the property - EXCELLENT Bad: The lighting in the bed area is minimal. Not conducive to reading in bed. Room size was a little tight but adequate for the length of my stay. I'm a country boy with an open spread out house.

Good: Good sized room. Free upgrade on second stay. Pool facilities and gym were well used by family. Staff were friendly and welcoming Bad: Car park was full to capacity, with large SUVs and pickups so parking was tight

Good: The beds are good and clean, and the room let us feels conformable. Bad: There was a puddle of water stains on the floor, it looked not good.

Next to airport. Highly recommend. Was a common place for my friends and I to socialize 40 plus years ago when I lived in Thunder Bay, still a very nice hotel.

Good: Restaurant- big space rooms - pet friendly- key security in elevator Bad: Rates fluctuated from 240 night to 600 night - wanted to extend another night and had to move hotels.

I liked the hotel. But had a negative experience with front desk(lady in red dress). I had flight to catch and I wanted to check out. She told me that I had to wait till she finish with long queue of check in. When my turn came she said you just need to drop off keys which she could tell me before. And there was thunderstorm warning. I am just wondering was that necessary by that lady? I was leaving happily but that attitude was bit off.
