The room was great. Their Stal restaurant does look like a Long House. Only criticism I have is that they need to vacuum the hotel lobby and corridors frequently through out the day as it's a very busy hotel and definitely needs regular cleaning

The reno is fantastic, and the place is really nice. The restaurant is horrendous. The food is under par, the staff are either far too eager, or completely ignore you. Honestly, eat somewhere else, it's not worth the time. The hotel otherwise is top notch.

As a room I have zero complain but the lobby needs improvement The restaurant was bad choice the food was burnt ans the bred dry and took 45 minutes while the restaurant was empty

Good: Property was ideal for what we needed it to be. Location was great. Bad: The room was very cold. Had to have the heat set real high. Lots of drafts coming in from the window.

We had a great stay. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The only issue i had was the cigarette butts and the smoking at the front entrance. Definitely gave me the wrong impression about the Hotel. Aside from that, I would return to this Hotel.

Good: I had to book at the last minute and didn’t check in till 1a.m and the rate for that night was over 200.00 which I found ridiculous since I always stay there. Ended up getting my next 3 nights for much less on booking.com. As I single person I feel safe at your hotel and is convenient as I come by bus. The staff was amazing and I even buy them chocolates since they really are good!

I've stayed at nearly every hotel in Thunder Bay for business, and this one truly stands out. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the hotel offers convenient amenities like an airport shuttle, a bar, and a restaurant. Plus, the location is ideal.

Amenities are always consistent. Pool was cooler than it normally is (it’s usually quite warm) during our last visit which was disappointing so we didn’t get to go swimming.

My room with the king size bed was fabulous. All of the appliances were modern. I especially like the shower and the toilet. And had a grab bar for safety, for the shower that is. Even the lighting was fabulous and there was a microwave,, coffee maker, microwave add infinitum. This will be my go-to place anytime I visit thunder Bay from this day forward. The staff were absolutely terrific and so is the food.

I would highly recommend to stay at here.The Valhalla is an older hotel near the airport that has been updated and well maintained. Bring earplugs.because the planes fly over early in the morning. During my 5 night stay, my room was very quiet, towels brought to my room when requested and cleaned after 3 nights. Great value for the price.

Good: Airport shuttle and parking on site is very important when booking a hotel Bad: The entrance is becoming dated, pool area is not always inviting and clean.

It was great! The beds are comfortable and room and hotel is clean. The location is great for shopping and restaurants.

The main reason why we stayed was because of their shuttle service to the airport and it was fine all went well.

Good: I think it had a unique style and the rooms were relatively clean. Bad: There were areas around the pool that weren’t that clean and there was not a business centre available for anyone who needed to get work done.

Good: Nice big bed, very clean. Lovely high-end cotton sheets! Restaurant was great. Bad: Cigarette butts everywhere. :-( Do people not know how to use the two very obvious ashtrays?!?

Overall a good hotel. It’s clean and comfortable. The only knock was the front desk. They were not rude or anything, but not the most helpful or warm.
